The Challenge:
Design, build, and install a series of architectural elements, including the main staircase, kitchen hood, butcher block countertop, custom pocket doors, a coffered ceiling, and fireplace mantle and hearth, for a local residence during an extensive remodel.
The Solution:
By tackling the project in stages, alongside the general contractor, Blackmouth was able to design, produce and install each piece directly after the contractor finished. The commissioned elements leverage sustainable, reclaimed Douglas fir and steel to create a modern, yet warm and balanced aesthetic. For the kitchen pieces, Blackmouth leveraged a Celtic knot design to provide some additional character to the range hood and butcher block countertop. The finished elements stand out as statement pieces throughout the home.
